Here are some common questions about GoiCar
How much does it cost to rent a car in Goa?
A Hyundai Grand i10 costs ₹1,100 a day on a 4-day rental, for pickups up to 19 December 2026. An Innova Hycross costs ₹3,300 a day and a Thar Roxx ₹4,200. The more days you take, the lower the daily rate. Rates are higher from 20 December to 5 January, and GST and extras are added at checkout. The price page lists every car.
Where do I collect the car?
At Mopa, pickup runs as a shuttle service. You meet the GoiCar team at Counter No. 7, in the Meeters and Greeters Area of the terminal, and your car is handed over at our pickup point. For Dabolim airport the pickup point is about 250 m from the airport exit gate, and we need 24 hours' notice. We also hand over cars at our Nagzar hub. We do not deliver to hotels. Details: Mopa, Dabolim.
What do I need to rent a car?
You must be 21 or older. Bring your original driving licence (a DigiLocker copy is accepted) and a government ID such as Aadhaar or a passport. Foreign visitors need their passport and an International Driving Permit. We check your documents at pickup and do not keep the originals.
Is there a security deposit?
A refundable security deposit applies, depending on the vehicle type. Full details are in our rental policy.
Are kilometres unlimited? Can I take the car out of Goa?
Kilometres are unlimited inside Goa. The cars are not allowed outside the state, and crossing the border without a permit can bring a fine of up to ₹10,000. A car for outside Goa is booked as an outstation rental, and outstation cars have a daily km limit.
Do you have automatic cars?
Yes. The Thar, Thar Roxx, Creta and both Innova Hycross cars are automatic only. Swift, Baleno, i10, i20, Venue, Exter and Ertiga come in both automatic and manual. The Innova Crysta is manual only. See automatic cars.
How early should I book?
Book online before you travel, as soon as you know your dates. Indian customers complete e-verification online before pickup. For 20 December to 5 January, book as soon as you have your flights.
